Pursuant to the provisions of National Decree No. 28/2025, which established the “Federal Concessions Network” aimed at improving infrastructure and reducing public spending, the Argentine Government has launched the second and third stages of the Federal Concessions Network through national and international tender processes.
The stages are as follows:
- Stage II-A: This stage comprises two sections: Sur–Atlántico–Acceso Sur and Pampa. According to official information, it involves the concession of more than 1,800 km of roads in the provinces of Buenos Aires and La Pampa. The bid opening took place on February 27, 2026, and the process has now entered the offer analysis and evaluation phase, prior to award.
- Stage II-B: This stage includes four sections: Mediterráneo, Puntano, Portuario Sur, and Portuario Norte. It was formalized by Resolution No. 112/2026, published on February 11, 2026, and the opening of bids is scheduled for May 7, 2026.
- Stage III: This stage comprises eight sections: Cuyo, Centro Norte, Noroeste, Chaco–Santa Fe, Litoral, Noreste, Centro, and Mesopotámico, including the Greater Rosario area.
It was formalized by Resolution No. 174/2026, published on February 23, 2026, which authorized the call for tenders and approved the bidding documents and contractual terms.
The bid opening for Stage III is scheduled for May 18, 2026.
Each concession entails the operation, maintenance, rehabilitation, and potential commercial development of the relevant road sections. Bids must be submitted through the government’s Contrat.AR system and will be evaluated based on technical and financial criteria.
