On 29 January 2024, the General Inspectorate of Justice (“IGJ”) published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic General Resolution 1/2024 (the “Resolution”) repealing General Resolution IGJ No. 1/2022 which limited the duration of commercial companies to thirty years from their registration.
As of the Resolution, the IGJ retakes the previous guidelines that foresaw that the term of duration of commercial companies is ninety-nine years, counted from their registration in the Public Registry of Commerce.
