The National Securities Commission Systematizes Compatibility Between Registered Entities

On September 7, 2026, General Resolution No. 1165/2026 (the “Resolution”) of the National Securities Commission (Comisión Nacional de Valores– “CNV”) was published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic. The Resolution creates the Compatibility Matrix and incorporates Central Securities Depositories (“ADCVNs”, after its Spanish acronym) into the Registry of Financial Trustees.

Key provisions of the Resolution:

  • Creation of the Compatibility Matrix: The Compatibility Matrix constitutes a regulatory systematization tool aimed at providing greater clarity and predictability regarding which activities may be carried out simultaneously by Registered Agents, Crowdfunding Platforms, Virtual Asset Service Providers, Markets and Clearing Houses. This systematization does not create new categories or modify the existing obligations applicable to each type of registered entity.
  • Registration of ADCVNs as Financial Trustees: ADCVNs are authorized to apply for registration in the Registry of Financial Trustees. In such cases, they may not register as a Market or Clearing House. To this end, they must ensure a clear functional and administrative segregation between both activities.

Effective Date of the Resolution:

The Resolution entered into force on September 8, 2026.
